Assistant Suffolk County district attorney Paul McLaughlin is shot and killed.

McLaughlin is shot and killed at the West Roxbury commuter rail station at 450 Lagrange Street. A twenty-year old criminal that McLaughlin had been prosecuting is later convicted of the murder.
